Serve Week 2016 is here! July 7, 8, 9 and 10!
Be sure to register and join us for a great week of projects that will bring tangible love to our local community!
Calvary Church desires to see life change in our local community. Love the 419 is our way to reach the local community by building relationships and providing extra hands to ministries that are working on the front lines everyday.
Serve Week is a great way to get involved and serve with your church. Projects are designed for all ages and all skill levels (kids under 14 may serve with an adult).
Register for any or all of the Serve Sessions that will take place this week. No need to sign up for a specific project. All projects will take place during each session (weather permitting/until project is completed).
Serve Sessions start at these times:
Thursday – 5:00pm
Friday – 9:00am/1:00pm/5:00pm
Saturday – 9:00am/1:00pm/5:00pm
Sunday – 2:00pm

Where Is Serve Week?
All projects will begin at Vision Ministries – 1630 Broadway, Toledo OH.
Parking:
Directly behind Vision in the fenced parking lot

Street parking in the neighborhoods
The South Library branch (Saturday and Sunday only)
Clothing:
Wear your red Love the 419 t-shirt.
Supplies:
Be sure to bring water and a snack. Read below for supplies needed for specific projects.
Projects:
Window Washing – Bless the community by washing windows for local businesses. Bring a bottle of Windex and a roll of paper towels.
Loads of Love – Spend time chatting and helping with laundry at the Laundromat. Visitors will receive extra love and gifts along with good old fashion friendship. Bring a bag of new socks to donate to families in need.
Adopt-a-Block – Help beautify the area by showing love to the neighbor's yards and homes: mow, clean, plant flowers, minor yard fixes, etc. Bring yard tools and work gloves.
Street Clean Up – Help beautify the area by going street to street to pick up trash. Bring a roll of heavy-duty garbage bags.
Marshall Bird Garden – Build a bird garden behind the school for the students to be exposed to wildlife. Bring work gloves and a bag of birdseed.
Bike Clinic – Host bike clinics at Mosaic and Vision to help fix people’s bikes. Bring typical tools needed for common bike repair.
Marshall Playground - Help make recess a little better. We will be painting games on the playground cement. Bring a paint roller and paint tray.
Various Paint Projects – Help to spruce up Mosaic and Vision with several paint projects. Bring a paint roller, paint tray and paintbrush.
Landscaping – Help beautify the area by mulching and planting flowers. Bring work glove and yard tools.
Deep Clean – Bless Mosaic and Vision by giving the buildings a good deep clean. Bring your favorite cleaning supplies.
